Manga isn't killing comics

If I see any Youtubers blather on about how Manga is better than comics, I automatically assume he is a dumbass. Not to say that Marvel and DC are not shit, they are. Why would I care about some fat Hot Topic reject comparing herself to her way more popular mother? Captain Marvel especially has such atrocious artwork.

Even Chris Chan could draw better than this.

Sorry to tell you this, but Manga isn't killing comics, The big two are committing suicide. Between all the terrible stories, the constant spin-offs, trying way too hard to be Alan Moore, the splinterings within both DC and Marvel, the barrier of entry being WAY TOO THICK, the Checklist Diversity of characters (AKA Tokenism), the rehashing of the same characters since the 1940s, and other things, I'd say the holes in that ship were caused by the companies themselves.

Manga and anime is currently at their most unpopular here in the states, but that's another L for DC and Marvel. When even Chris Chan makes better artwork than comic pros, they should consider working at McDonald's. DC and Marvel Comics have been falling apart since the 80s, Todd McFarlane created Image comics, and that's how you get Spawn and Walking Dead.

So comics aren't going anywhere at all, as long as there's an indie scene. Ethan Van Sciver is still making comics for cryuing out loud.
