The Real Controversy for Uzaki-Chan
If you hang around anime youtubers with their shitty clickbaity videos where they just read tweets instead of doing cool shit on Twitter, you may have heard of some shitty show that just came out. If you don't know what show it is, it's called Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out, and the premise of the show is that some butch lesbian won't leave some loser alone, a situation that would no doubt end up in restraining orders and my fist in someone's face if it happened in real life.
Apparently there is some backlash on Twitter about the show. The usual jealous white women being insecure and all that over a fucking drawing, right? Of course, you readers want me, Anrgy Grape, the edgy mean man on the internet to rip them apart, and confirm all your opinions because I'm not like those sensitive SJWs. Well, too bad. Being an edgy guy like me, I thrive on your anger, and I might say that the real reason Uzaki-chan has all this backlash is one simple reason:
THE SHOW FUCKING SUCKS!
Yes, the show sucks. Get over it. Not only is it nothing but fanservice and no plot, the characters are either boring or annoying. This annoying character was used by a Japanese Blood Donation group as their mascot, and even Japanese people were annoyed. Yes, you weebs, I'm not alone, even normal Japanese people hate this show. Normal people like me hate this show, and I know there are better anime that deserve the adaptation:
- Vampire Hunter D - This light novel series takes place in the far distant future where Vampires and other creatures of the night terrorize humans, and one dude, a half-human, half-vampire named D is hired by humans to hunt them down and kill them all. There are about 26 or so books in desperate need of adaptation.
- Berserk - The '97 anime was so cool, but left out important details. I think an adaptation of the Golden Age and Black Swordsman arc that isn't a CGI abomination would be perfect.
- Golgo 13 - Duke Togo, a badass assassin, gets paid to kill his targets, but he also fucks beautiful women up front and is quick to do that. No awkward conversations, no walking into a changing room at the wrong time, no harem bullshit, Duke Togo just hits them and quits them. He is basically an anime James Bond.
- M.D. Geist - Not really based on a manga, but it does deserve a remake. I'd love to see some neat redesigns and updated animation and all that jazz. Plus Geist is so cool, he gives no fucks about any thots.
I have no idea why the anime fandom seems to be obsessed with any kind of anime where all the female characters look like they glued basketballs on their chests, and they praise it like it's the best thing since canned bread. Everytime someone calls it out that it's nothing but fanservice, they accuse you of elitism, gatekeeping, and being nostalgia-blind. Which is interesting, because back in 2013, there was a show called Free! which is essentially female-oriented fanservice, and these anime fanboys threw a fit because it didn't stimulate their weiners. If you read between the lines of those reviews, what really happened is they were grossed out by dudes in anime, yet somehow big boobs are A-okay. Talk about hypocrisy. This is the reason anime and manga has fallen from popularity in recent years.
Besides, you can google "big boobs" and get the results quicker. In fact, here's a Google search. See that? Nice and easy, no watching some paper-thin plot, no cringe dialogue, no bland characters, just something that you wanted quick and easy. I have no idea what was so hard about that.

ReplyDeleteYou literally just got done complaining about the boobs in the previous sentence, you thot.
You mean the comment, "I have no idea why the anime fandom seems to be obsessed with any kind of anime where all the female characters look like they glued basketballs on their chests, and they praise it like it's the best thing since canned bread."?
DeleteI think I was complaining about praising mediocrity and lack of quality standards in anime. Thanks for proving my point for me.
